A special-admission track for people who finished high school overseas and come (back) to a Japanese undergraduate degree. Instead of the general 共通テスト, it first asks whether you hold Japan's legal university-entrance qualification, then sorts you by status: Japanese nationals and permanent residents usually go via 帰国生入試 / 外国学校出身者選抜, while foreign nationals without permanent residence typically take 私費外国人留学生入試 (often adding EJU). The flow is generally document screening → 小論文 / subject test + interview — humanities lean on 小論文, while science/medical paths add subject interviews. What actually trips people up isn't whether you studied abroad, but the fine print: years of continuous overseas enrollment, recent-graduation time windows, and official direct-sending of English scores. You land in a Japanese-taught degree; if you want an English-taught program, that's a separate 総合型選抜.

你在海外完成了高中，手里是海外现地校/国际学校的履历——这既可能走 B4「帰国生·外国学校卒業特別選考」这条独立特别通道，也可能走 B3 英文学位、或私費外国人留学生入試。这条路的底层逻辑不是先问「哪所大学有哪个特别选考」，而是先看你是否具备日本法上的大学入学资格，再看大学在此之上追加的校级分流规则。这一步只帮你判断「为什么是日本学部」——把动机想到能在书类与面接里讲连贯的程度。面接评的不是题库，而是你能否把「海外经历」讲成一条不断裂的学习动机链：课程语言、学术训练、职业路径、个人身份经验的合流，而不是「想回国/想去日本试试」。
同样有海外高中履历，有人走本路、有人走 B3 英文项目，边界不是「是否海外毕业」，而是授课语言、学位项目类型、以及学校把你放进哪个 admission bucket。早稻田官方写明：帰国生·外国学生入試主要面向「主に日本語で学位を取得するプログラム」，想读英文授课学位项目要另看「総合型選抜（英語による学位取得プログラム）」。所以先想清你要读的是不是「英語による学位取得プログラム」，再定通道 [要確認 以各校当前页为准]。
