This route lets you skip Japanese-language school and repeated trips for on-campus exams: you sit the EJU at an overseas test site and secure a formal offer from a Japanese university undergraduate program before you ever set foot in Japan. Schools offering 渡日前入学許可 (Pre-arrival Admission) typically select on document review plus an online interview/oral exam; EJU is usually required, and English scores (TOEFL/IELTS) are sent directly by the official body. You save the time and cost of language school and exam trips, but your choice of schools and faculties narrows sharply and a single EJU sitting carries much more weight. Mainland Chinese applicants take the EJU in Hong Kong or another overseas site and usually verify documents via CHSI/CSSD. Once admitted, you move into the back half: COE, visa, entry, and undergraduate enrollment.
